My little cousin who is 8 years old is making her first communion in a couple weeks. I want to get her something nice but I don’t have any ideas. I don’t want to get something too common (picture album, bible, gold cross etc.) because I know she will get those from other people. I thought of a savings bond, but that’s no fun for an 8 year old to open. Is there anything else that makes a good communion gift? Thanks in advance!

Why not take her out to get her hair done, and have her toenails polished…along with you of course and while there have someone taking pics.of the two of you and have your favorite put into a monogrammed frame.
After a day of being pampered, take her to lunch. She’ll feel grown-up, but not TOO grownup. Have fun!!
